About CJ Garton
Country music artist CJ Garton brings the spirit of Nashville to the shores of Tulum for an unforgettable weekend at La Zebra Beach Hotel & Restaurant. A sixth-generation rancher raised on a cattle farm established during the Oklahoma Land Run of the 1800s, CJ is the real thing. Shaped by a life that rises with the sun and is sustained by the land, he embodies the authenticity and storytelling tradition that Red Dirt and country music were built upon.
Over the course of his career, CJ has written songs recorded by legendary artists including Tanya Tucker, David Allan Coe, Daryle Singletary, Kevin Thomas, Ronnie McDowell and numerous other artist and television credits. A proud military veteran with Cherokee heritage, he is known for his commanding baritone voice, larger-than-life presence, and genuine connection with audiences.
