About Rex Ryan
Rex Ryan spent nearly three decades on NFL and college sidelines before trading the headset for a headline seat at ESPN, where he's been a lead NFL analyst since 2017, appearing on Sunday NFL Countdown, Get Up, and SportsCenter. He built his coaching reputation on aggressive, attacking defenses and a personality to match — never short on confidence, never short on a quote.
He broke in as Baltimore's defensive coordinator, helping engineer the Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV championship defense, before taking over as head coach of the New York Jets in 2009 and immediately leading the team to back-to-back AFC Championship appearances. He later coached the Buffalo Bills from 2015–16. The son of legendary NFL coach Buddy Ryan and twin brother of fellow coach Rob Ryan, football has always run in the family.
Now he's bringing that same fearless energy to the sand — trading the defensive line for the draft board alongside guests at La Zebra.
